I was hired to work for Ed Constable, one of the top realtors in Mid-Michigan, in August 2020. I started as a Marketing Coordinator before receiving a promotion to Marketing Manager. My responsibilities included: brand management and creation of assets; social media marketing and advertising; photography and videography of listed properties; WordPress website management; lead generation; email marketing; MLS operation and other administrative duties.
Website Revamp
The original website on the left was created using Elementor, which is a drag and drop, no coding required interface for WordPress. I decided to take the website to the next level by using a premade theme that I then customized (CSS, PHP) to fit the brand and UX needs. This decision was made to increase design options, reduce cost and create more functionality possibilities.
Below is a recent update of the website. The “C” image is actually a video.
Brand Refining
Ed’s brand was not formally documented and needed a few additions in order to properly serve social media, documents, printed signs, and other materials. I created the guide below to organize the brand information, and also added quite a few assets. I created the circular and square logo icons on the right to accommodate social and email needs. I then choose three additional colors for the color palette: Wine Red, Light Gray and White. Next, I selected the Assistant font because of its modern feel and stroke flexibility.
Property Photography
Whenever a house needed to be listed for sale, it was my job to go out and shoot! Below is a house I photographed in Grand Blanc, MI. I used a Canon Rebel T7i and DJI Mavic Air drone for all properties, and edited in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I would also list all residential homes on the MLS afterward.
In addition to photos, this video was used to market this property across social media.
Marketing Ads
For different parts of Ed’s business, I created and managed ads for Perfect Audience, Facebook and Google Ads to reach custom or retargeted audiences.
Event Planning
The Annual Fenton Onesie Pub Crawl hosted by the EdConstable.com team is a local charity event that takes place each January. The Pub Crawl for 2021 was postponed to April, and below are the marketing pieces I created for it (dates changed later). I was also in charge of promotion, restaurant contact, ticket distribution.
Here is the first promotional video that I shot and edited to share on social.
Billboard
The time also came when I finally got to design my first billboard! I love that my simple yet classy advertisement is seen by hundreds – maybe even thousands – of people. This is a digital billboard located at the Thompson Rd exit near Grand Blanc and Fenton.
Signs
Below are two sign examples I designed in Adobe Illustrator for property marketing. They were designed according to the Real Living branding.
Course Design
Because of my boss’s extensive experience selling lakefront homes, we decided to put together a course to help other realtors assist these premium clients and close the sale successfully. This course (consisting of videos, quizzes and worksheets) teaches realtors about the ins and outs of waterfront properties, which is knowledge typically gained by years of trial and error. I designed the website on WordPress and set up the course functionality, which was achieved through a third party integration called LearnPress.
